ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PAX is seeking a Director, Commercial Planning & Sales Ops with experience in a relevant field such as Sales Operations, Business Analytics, or Finance. The Director, Commercial Planning & Sales Ops is a results-driven growth champion with knowledge of sales methodologies, best in class sales reporting & KPI tracking, and sales/trade collaboration and execution. This role partners closely with the Sales, Finance, and Trade teams so the ability to collaborate cross-functionally is paramount.

The Director, Commercial Planning & Sales Ops team is responsible for 3 main bodies of work: 

  • Sales Operations - Design, develop, and deploy the commercial performance cadence and tools. Leverage these market and sales trends to provide guidance and ensure the sales team is effective in reaching their targets. Identify ways to drive efficiency, excellence, and optimize the sales process.  
  • Commercial Planning - Sourcing and managing external commercial data sets (i.e. BDSA, Pistil, etc.), driving KPI and target setting, close partnership with PAX trade team to ensure best-in-class trade execution, supporting launch strategies for new products, and influencing sales compensation plans, etc.
  • Sales Training & Development - Effectively translating all of the above for our field teams, including weekly sales communication (internal and external), enabling the team with playbooks, influencing content for budtender training & education, and developing customized dashboards for specific programs/incentives, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Experience: 

  • 7+ years experience in a related quantitative or analytical field (Finance, Business Analytics, Sales Operations, etc.)
  • Experience deriving practical business insights from aggregation and analysis of large, complex data sets.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects, delegate appropriately amongst direct reports and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment.

Pluses:

  • Experience in cannabis sales / operations 
  • Experience working with distribution of physical goods, consumer packaged goods

COMPENSATION

In addition to the benefits above, this role has a pay range between $160,000 - 195,000 + equity. This pay range represents what we believe, in good faith, this role will pay. The final pay will depend on many factors, including years and depth of experience, level, and location of the employee. We only expect to pay the top of the range in rare and exceptional circumstances, for candidates that far exceed the requirements and expectations of the position.
