POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Manager, Consumer Insights acts as a strategic partner and voice of consumer to Product and Marketing teams by helping to build and launch a portfolio of game changing brands and products that will disrupt existing categories and behaviors. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scope research projects to ensure a clear and actionable brief to identify the right approach and research partners
  • Work independently with DIY research platforms or research partners to seamlessly execute research projects that deliver against objectives and build impactful, visually engaging and easy to understand presentations to drive action
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative consumer research to inform new product development including idea screening, consumer qual, concept testing, and consumer sensory tests
  • Lead budtender learning agenda and partner with retail teams to execute focus groups
  • Drive post-launch product evaluations, through use of post-launch consumer surveys of patients or registered guests and revenue performance review
  • Assist in execution of foundational research to inform broader strategic priorities, such as segmentation and consumer journey.
  • Partner with syndicated data providers to maximize use of trends, brand tracking, sales tracking data to build holistic recommendations and thought leadership
  • Travel Requirements: 15%
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS, BA) or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record of actionable insights work, including compelling and motivating storytelling and action planning
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative research approaches, including segmentation, U&A, A/B testing, concept testing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPG experience preferred, cannabis experience is a plus
  • Experience with executing research leveraging agile, DIY research platforms.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently to tackle priorities
  • Collaborative problem-solving
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity
  • Knowledge of and experience with consumer database analysis
