Sr Manager of Data and Analytics

Role Summary:

This pivotal role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead the Data Products and Reporting team at a rapidly growing company. Sr Manager of Data and Analytics will leverage cutting-edge cloud-based data and analytics platforms to enhance the company's data capabilities. This role is critical in shaping how data is used across the organization, influencing decisions in various domains including sales, operations, finance, marketing, and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Data Products and Reporting team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Design and implement strategies for data product development, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of reporting systems and dashboards that provide actionable insights to decision-makers.
• Champion the use of data visualization and storytelling to convey complex data in an understandable and impactful manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver solutions that drive business performance.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all data products and reports.
• Develop and manage a robust framework for data governance and quality across data products and reporting.
• Act as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analytics and reporting technologies.
• Promote data literacy and foster a data-driven culture within the organization.

Working Conditions:

• Office or remote home-office based.
• Limited domestic travel possible.
• Reports to the Director of Data Governance and Analytics.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics or a related field, with significant experience in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Proven track record in managing data product development and reporting functions.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Expertise in data visualization tools and techniques.
• Proficient in SQL, PowerBI, Python, and other relevant data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling manner.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management.
• Knowledge of the cannabis industry and related regulatory environments is a plus.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a level 2 background check.
