Job Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer with expertise in a digital forward, brand driven role who understands CPG marketing from packaging to store shelf. The successful candidate will be a key contributor in a fast-paced work environment, leading design initiatives, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and ensuring the highest standards of creativity and quality.

Wana Brands is a cannabis-infused products manufacturer located in Boulder, Colorado. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Create visually appealing and effective designs for various marketing materials, advertisements, digital assets, visual merchandising and other promotional collateral.
  • Develop digital designs for websites, mobile applications, social media, presentations, and other digital platforms. This involves creating layouts, graphics, and interactive elements that are aesthetically pleasing and functional.
  • Maintain and enhance the visual identity and branding of a company or project across various platforms. Ensure that all materials adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Take ownership of multiple design projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
  • Produce design concepts, mock-ups, and final artworks that meet project objectives.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, manage project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Collaborate with the creative team, providing guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to other designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute creative ideas, and share industry knowledge to elevate the overall design team.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and review work thoroughly.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports or supervisory responsibility.

Required Qualifications

  • A portfolio of past projects
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in branding, digital, and graphic design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects, including branding, digital and packaging work.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software and web (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Canva skills preferred for presentation design. 
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for the cannabis industry.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Animation skills are a huge plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $75k - $90k annual salary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is exempt from overtime pay due to administrative employee exemption.

This position is fully remote, and works business hours, Monday – Friday 9:00a-5:00p MST. Travel can be expected up to a few times a year.

This job operates in a professional office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
