JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build relationships with key customers and handle any escalated topics
  • Continuously improve operational cohesion and strong execution between the functions 
  • Be the voice and represent the Michigan sales team to brand, retailer, and internal teams
  • Manage cross-functional projects and will provide clear direction for efficient and effective operations
  • Provide sales strategy into quarterly strategic plans for each brand and continuously track and improve performance 
  • Maintain on-going market and competitive analyses and utilize findings to create strategic plans in brand management and sales
  • Oversee the timeliness of plan execution, which includes quarterly brand plans, quotas/commissions, spifs, forecasting
  • Analyze distribution data at the brand and product line levels to ensure revenue goals are and can be met - to work smart
  • Develop an excellent communication framework and partnership across management in multiple states
  • Train, mentor, and coach Michigan Sales team
  • Interpret financial documents and create corrective action plans when needed
  • Lead monthly calls with the exec team to report out on mi execution and performance

 REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in sales in the cannabis, CPG, food + beverage and/or wine + spirits industries, or similar experience preferred
  • 3-4 years experience with data platforms
  • 5+ years of managing large teams
  • 3+ years of managing dynamic P+Ls
  • Portfolio sales experience preferred
  • Project management of cross-functional projects
  • CRM experience, Salesforce a plus
  • Google Suite required
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information discreetly and professionally
  • Travel required
  • Successful track record of measuring improvements in market share and top-line revenue, with cannabis start-ups a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to drive extended periods of time

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

This position requires frequent sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and operating a computer workstation.

  • This position may rarely require kneeling, bending, squatting
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Must be available to overnight travel
  • Must be available for occasional weekend work (demos and tradeshows)
  • Must be able to work nights and holidays (night and holiday work will be pre-defined by position)
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time

The pay range for this position is $115,000-$125,000 + bonus potential.
